From Print Media to Digital Broadcasting: Tracing The Path of Digital Journalism in Kyrgyzstan

Journal Title: The journal of international civilization studies - Year 2023, Vol 8, Issue 2

Abstract

This study delves into the technological evolution of the field of journalism and reporting, which has emerged as a result of humanity's historical necessity for acquiring information. The initial impetus of this need, driven by the imperative for survival in early human societies, has progressively evolved into a pursuit of curiosity and a yearning to comprehend the intricacies of the world. With the advent of technological progress, journalism and reporting formats have undergone notable transformations. This research, in particular, places special emphasis on the shifts in these paradigms, scrutinizing the manner in which the ascendancy of the internet and social media in Kyrgyzstan has fundamentally reshaped the landscape of journalism. By concentrating its investigation on the online platforms of both the official state publication "Kyrgyz Tuusu" and the private enterprise "Super.kg," the study has gathered and analyzed data to discern the process through which Kyrgyz journalism has aligned itself with the digital revolution. In light of the data analysis, the study accentuates the salient achievements of the scrutinized websites while also pinpointing areas necessitating refinement. Furthermore, the study furnishes valuable suggestions aimed at optimizing and enhancing these online platforms.
