Full Observability Criteria for Linear Impulsive Control Systems with Application to Diabetes Type I Dynamics
Journal Title: Journal of Advances in Mathematics and Computer Science - Year 2017, Vol 25, Issue 5
Abstract
The main goal of this paper is to derive a full characterization of the observability of linear time-invariant impulsive systems. Two cases are studied. The rst case considers continuous outputs. A suitable adapted Kalman criterion is shown to characterize properly the observability. In the second case, only discrete-time measurements of the outputs are available. A new rank condition based on the structure of the impulses is shown to characterize observability. Finally, these results are tested and illustrated both on academic examples and on the dynamical model of diabetic type I patients. The latter provides a nice case study for an impulsive system with discrete time measurements as the meals may be approximated by some impulse inputs and the glycemia measurement is usually done in real life at various times through the day.

The Propositional Lattice of Divisibility and Beal's Conjecture
This article is devoted to the lattice-theoretic analysis of Beal's conjecture. We discuss whether this conjecture is deducible from the laws of logic of divisibility.
A Multi-Regions SIRS Discrete Epidemic Model With a Travel-Blocking Vicinity Optimal Control Approach on Cells
In Susceptible-Infected-Removed-Susceptible (SIRS) compartmental models, we can suppose that a removed population has lost its immunity after being healed from an infection, and then, it moves to the susceptible compartm...
Determinants and Inverses of Symmetric Poeplitz and Qoeplitz Matrix
In this paper, we define symmetric Poeplitz and Qoeplitz matrices and give explicit formulae for the determinants and inverses of these matrices by constructing the transformation matrices.
Experimental Study on Class Imbalance Problem Using an Oil Spill Training Data Set
There is a paucity of research on one of the key issues in oil spill detection: the imbalanced training set learning problem. This paper performs experiments to show the influence of the imbalanced learning problem (ILP)...
Algorithms for Solving Some Inverse Problems from Combinatorial Number Theory
In this paper we use the characteristic property of sumsets which states that there exists a proper subset tiling the set by translates to solve by an algorithmic methods, for nite sets, some inverse problems in combina...
