ФУНКЦІОНУВАННЯ ВІДРОДЖЕНОЇ ЛЕКСИКИ В СУЧАСНІЙ УКРАЇНСЬКІЙ ЛІТЕРАТУРНІЙ МОВІ

Abstract
The article analyzes the revived Ukrainian vocabulary, its history and current state, the functioning of this layer of vocabulary in the language system of social life. On the basis of the research we came to the conclusion that in the modern Ukrainian language there is an active process of the revival of words that were forcibly removed from use in the times of Soviet power. These words, thanks to the relentless work of talented linguists and journalists, get into the language of television, press, official-business papers, some of the revived words are already added in new dictionaries. Forgotten Ukrainian words get a new sound, get a new life, update the composition of the active vocabulary in modern Ukrainian literary language. It has been established that the process of reviving forgotten words is rather complicated, because there must be bearers of these words and the words should be perceived in general and begin to be used in various spheres of public life.
