Abstract
The problems that have been studied to a small extent by the Belarusian linguists, among other problems abbreviations functionality. Depending on the use of acronyms can be either autonomous or structurally related. Is taken into account position in a specialized text: at the beginning of the text, according to the appearance of the abbreviation in the text at the end of the text. In the title of the text, according to the method of distribution of the opinion we have: abbreviations in the subject (as a function of the entity), abbreviations in the statement (the complement, the term). Using the lexical relationship is defined acronyms, and keywords in the structure of the text. This is possible if: replace abbreviations in the text of one of the tokens included in its full form of the name, write a different abbreviations for the same text.
