Journal Title: World Science - Year 2018, Vol 7, Issue 6
Abstract
In this article, game technologies are presented as applications that promote personal and professional development and growth of the subjects of the pedagogical process. Among the magnitude of different games the author focuses on intellectual creative games. These games are in demand among students specializing in natural and humanitarian sciences (historians, philologists, lawyers). The author analyzes advantages of using games of this format. The author indicates that games of this class aim at developing the communicative and social competencies of higher education students in the form of the ability to communicate and defend their point of view, to work in a team, and to determine strategies for further development. The author emphasizes that their use allows us to consolidate theoretical knowledge, to detect errors in the course of practical activity and to avoid their recurrence in the course of future professional activity. The author also states that this spectrum of games is simultaneously used as a means of teaching students. However, the author also draws attention to the fact that intellectual and creative games may not be used as the main format of higher education.
