Abstract
The article is devoted to the establishment of a new structural unit in the Prosecutor’s Office of Ukraine – the General Inspection, its tasks and powers. The history of its establishment, experience of functioning of similar units in foreign coun- tries is highlighted. The problems that arise in the functioning of the unit are analyzed and ways that improve its activity are searched for.
