Generating Vocal Signal Sources
Journal Title: RECENT - Year 2011, Vol 12, Issue 33
Abstract
During last decade speech technology becomes more and more used in fields like: telecommunication and automated dialog systems. The speech technology is developed based on the knowledge of signal processing and comprises two principal areas: automatic speech recognition and speech synthesis. As in any other technology, in speech technology the high performances are obtained based on the quality of the implemented algorithms (method that is used and efficiency). Present paper tries to cover the main methods used to generate a synthetic fundamental vocal signal and to underline the appropriate method for different type of applications.

DEFINING THE LARSON-MILER PARAMETER FOR A NEW ALLOY STEEL
This article shows how the Larson-Miler parameter could be defined through tests and then used to prognosticate the time to rupture for materials, working for a long time at a constant load and elevated temperatures. The...
Correlated Determination of Mechanical Press Functional Parameters
Each mechanical press, as any press in general, has a number of characteristics, which are geometrical, kinematical and energy related. The kinematical and energy related ones are functional characteristics, the defining...
Comparison between Casting Solidification Simulation in Cylindrical Coordinates and in Cartesian Coordinates
Two software modules for solidification simulating of eutectic alloy castings were done at Transylvania University of Brasov. The first of them 3D-SIM EUT is based on finite difference mathematical model in Cartesian coo...
