Abstract
The article is devoted to the study of the genesis of the historical and legal school of the National University «Odessa Law Academy». The main stages of the development of this school are considered. The focus is on researching the scientific and pedagogical activity of the Department of the History of State and Law at the National University «Odessa Law Academy», which is the center of the modern historical and legal school in the South of Ukraine.
