Genetic Diversity of 13 Maize (Zea mays L.) Hybrids based on multivariate Analysis Methods
Journal Title: International Journal of Farming and Allied Sciences - Year 2014, Vol 3, Issue 5
Abstract
Awareness of genetic diversity is the base of the most plant breeding programs. In this research genetic diversity of 13 of maize (Zea mays L.) hybrids was evaluated based on morphological traits as a randomized complete block design with three replications.. the analysis of variance showed that among hybrids have significant differences in all of morphological treats. According to cluster analysis with UPGMA method, all of hybrids were grouped into 4 major groups with cophenetic coefficient of 0.8 Principal component analysis (PCA) shows that 2 first components justified 94.63% of total variance. Clustering pattern obtained from two first components principal componenet analysis almost confirmed the cluster analysis grouped. We wish, genetic diversity find out used in breeding programs of maize.

Study on tolerance to terminal drought stress of bread wheat genotype using indices for susceptibility and tolerance to stress
In order to study the response of bread wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) to drought stress, two experiments were conducted in Research Station of Islamic Azad University, Ardabil Branch, in 2007-08 and 2008-09 cropping yea...
The effects of seed size and salinity on seed germination characteristic in wheat (var. Chamran)
Salinity is a determining factor for seed germination. Germination and seedling growth are the most susceptible stages of plant to salinity stress. In order to the investigation of seed size and salinity stress on whea...
The effect of density on yield and some agronomical and physiological traits of Amaranth )Amaranthus spp.(
Grain Amaranth is a C4 crop with potentially increasing cultivation area. Yet, no standards exist for optimum plant density. The aim of this study was to determine crop possibilities and how crop density affects Amaran...
