Genre “essay” in Kethry Stockett’s fiction

Abstract

The article deals with the functioning genre of essay in the context of Ukrainian and American literary tradition. Based on Kethryn Stockett’s fiction the peculiarities of genre combination of the author’s essay and afterword are analyzed in this work.
