GEOGRAPHICAL COMPONENTS SUBJECT DOMAIN RECREATIONAL AND TOURIST ACTIVITIES

Abstract
Purpose. The purpose of this work – to substantiate the geographical bases of recreation and tourism activities, to unlock the potential of social geography in shaping the theory and teaching methods of the study of recreation and tourism. Data&Methods. Materials research served as literary sources, as well as individual achievements of modern domestic and foreign scholars on the study of recreational and tourism activities. Important to achieve this goal was the use of logical and analytical, comparative and descriptive methods, allowing to highlight features of formation of the domain of recreation and tourism activities. Results. The article deals with the geographical framework for recreational and tourist activities. Emphasis is the interdisciplinary nature of its subject area, develop an appropriate conceptual relevance – conceptual apparatus. The role of geography in the methodological and methodical development of recreation and tourism. Recreation and tourism activities is analyzed as a complex interdisciplinary. The specified role of geographical concepts in the development of this scientific field, in particular the concept of recreation and tourism resources (destinations) and the concept of territorial recreation systems.
