GEOMORPHOLOGICAL ANALYSIS OF KREMENCHUK TERRAIN

Abstract
Purpose. To determine elements of modern Kremenchuk terrain, its age, spatial position and character of bedding. Methodology. The analysis of the relief development of the city of Kremenchuk has been carried out. The features of the natural structure of the Dnieper valley within the Kremenchuk city have been clarified on the basis of the study of historical data, modeling of the primitive relief and facial analysis of deposits on the basis of engineering geological studies of the city's construction times. Results. It has been established that in the 19-20th centuries the town's relief was subject to significant changes as a result of human activity. Originality. Modern relief specialties are the result of the protracted geological development. Characteristic for the city anthropogenic forms of relief are the planned territo- ries, careers, drainage channels and water dam dams. It has been confirmed that the modern features of Kremenchuk relief are the result of long-term geological development. The development of the Eastern European platform, the ero- sion of surface water streams and economic activity of man have the greatest influence on the formation of the city's surface, and since the 1950s, the main form factor is anthropogenic influences. In general, artificial forms of relief cover almost half of the town's area. According to the results of the geomorphological analysis of Kremenchuk, detailed in- formation on the relief of the city has been detailed. Practical value. The results of research can be used for the geolog- ical environment state prognostication, territory city planning, building project decisions grounding.
