Abstract

The globalization is a powerful process generated by the changes emer-ged mainly from the last decades. This process insures the boundaries between countries to fall and cause the development of the technologies, commerce and investments andhasmany important factorsanditsconsequences are spread in differentareas. The paper discusses ways of understanding the phenomenon of globalization and focuses on the definition, dimensions, consequences and some strategies of globalization. Its aims to explain several dimensions of globaliza-tion whichare firmly shaped, and we can distinguish among its economical, en-viromental, social, cultural and political dimensions.The paper analyzes theo-retical bases of modern globalization as a part of general global processes. The authors points out fundamental principals of global studies to be considered when solving theoretical and practical tasks in the modern world.
