GLOBALIZATION CHALLENGES TO THE STRUCTURE OF THE NATIONAL ECONOMY

Abstract
Purpose – to develop the globalization challenges to the structure of the national economy and analyze the possibilities and ways of provision of the adequate response on them. Methodology of research. In the process of study the following methods of scientific knowledge were used: dialectical (in determining the globalization challenges to the structure of the economy), induction and deduction, monographic (in determining the trends of globalization for the structure of the economy), comparative analysis (the analysis of the place of the national economy in the international rankings), systems analysis (while a synthesis of the references and substantiation of conclusions), statistical analysis (in determining of the structure of the national economy adaptability to the challenges of globalization) and others. Findings. The necessity to develop the approaches to improve the structure of the national economy in the light of the globalization challenges is proved. The trends of the impact of globalization on the structure of the world and, therefore, the national economies are outlined. The globalization challenges that require a special attention in the process of the structural reforming of Ukraine’s economy are determined, namely the conditions of involvement of the foreign investment into the national economy; requirements for the formation of the innovative capacity of the Ukrainian economy to maintain the pace of globalization innovation progress; the conditions of entry of the elements of the national economy into the global chains of added value. With the use of the international rankings and statistical data the compliance of the economy of Ukraine with the requirements of globalization is analyzed. Originality. The list of the globalization challenges is determined, and manifestation of the globalization challenges that require the priority consideration in the targeted structuring of Ukraine’s economy to improve its competitiveness and organic entry into the world economic space are examined. Practical value. The obtained results of the research can be used as the information and analytical background for the managerial decisions objectification while working out the mechanisms of the structural reforming of the national economy.
