GLOBÁLNE STMIEVANIE AKO NOVÝ KLIMATICKÝ FENOMÉN
Journal Title: FOLIA GEOGRAPHICA - Year 2013, Vol 55, Issue 1
Abstract
This paper focuses on the analysis of atmospheric phenomenon called global dim- ming. The basis for defining this phenomenon were the results of empirical studies from the years 1950 – 1980, which showed a decrease in the amount of solar radia - tion reaching the Earth’s surface. Despite initial refusal of these studies, those were confirmed by research on the evaluation of pan evaporation rate, which in spite of global warming is gradually waning. Paper also notes the INDOEX project, which aimed to determine the impact of solid particles in the air – so called aerosols – on the amount of solar radiation reaching the Earth’s surface. Last part is focused on the effects of global dimming on climatic situation of our planet.
