GordonPym 3.0 apud Liviu Cotrău
Journal Title: Buletin Științific, seria A, Fascicula Filologie - Year 2016, Vol 0, Issue
Abstract
Liviu Cotrău’s Romanian version of Edgar Allan Poe’s The Narrative of Arthur Gordon Pym (the third in a row) manages to overcome the multiple technical challenges the text poses to the translator (modal hybridity, stylistic proteism, lexical versatility) and at the same time to recode it creatively, levelling its rough cuts and anchoring it in the Romanian tradition of fantastic fiction.
