HARDENING MONITORING AND CONTACT STRESS ANALYSIS OF TEST SAMPLES
Journal Title: Scientific Journals of Silesian University of Technology. Series Transport - Year 2014, Vol 2014, Issue 84
Abstract
The presented paper deals with the solution of rolling contact problem. A virtual model was created in Abaqus FEA software. The boundary conditions and contact forces were subsequently added. The results obtained after the simulation were compared with data obtained by experimental measurements, which were performed on the test stand ELSPO used in theoretical and technological center for plastometer construction materials for experimental analyzes and tests in terms of rolling contact of solids. The FEM simulation and experiment observed the size of the contact pressure, plastic deformation and the width of the track, which was the site of contact.

TECHNIQUES OF BAGGAGE HANDLING AT PASSENGER AIRPORTS – BHS SYSTEM
The paper presents techniques and technologies of baggage handling in passenger air transport services. It is very important logistics process for efficiency material flow as baggage which supports main passenger transpo...
ANALYSIS OF THE IMPACT OF FLEXIBLE COUPLINGS ON GEARBOX VIBRATIONS
Dangerous vibrations of mechanical systems’ components are causes of failures and reduction in service life, as well lead to negative effects on the environment and the health of operators. In order to reduce these unwan...
VIDEO-BASED VEHICLE DETECTION ON A TWO-WAY ROAD
The paper presents a method of vehicle detection on a two-way road. Vehicle detection is carried out on the basis of the video stream from the camera placed over a road. The input image sequence is created by consecutive...
USING OF TORSIONAL VIBRATIONS VELOCITY FOR THE DETECTION OF TOOTHED WHEELS' FAULT
The paper presents a method of tooth chipping diagnostics. The method based on the noncontact measure of torsional and transverse vibrations velocity of gear shaft. Recorded signals were analysed with the use of continuo...
TWO-LANE TRAFFIC FLOW MODEL FOR HIGHWAY NETWORKS
A discrete model to simulate multi-way traffic flow is introduced. The well known cellular automata Nagel-Schreckenberg model is extended by adding extra road lanes. New set of state rules is developed to provide lane ch...
