Hardware-software co-simulation for medical X-ray control units
Journal Title: EAI Endorsed Transactions on Industrial Networks and Intelligent Systems - Year 2016, Vol 3, Issue 8
Abstract
In this paper we present our solution to master the complex- ity of product adaption cycles of a medical X-ray control unit. We present the real hardware and software platform and our mapping of it to a virtual X-ray control unit, im- plemented as our hardware-software co-simulation. To re- duce complexity for hardware developers, we developed our own XML-based abstract system description language which is mapped onto instantiations of parameterizable SystemC template modules. We verified the correctness of our virtual X-ray control unit by co-simulating unmodified software to hardware components, which we implemented in our system description language from the specification of the real sys- tem. Due to reduced complexity of our virtual X-ray control unit, it can be used as a time and cost saving test platform for future hardware and software adaption cycles.

Eigenvalue-based Detection Techniques Using Finite Dimensional Complex Random Matrix Theory: A Review
Detection of primary users without requiring information of signal is of great importance in spectrum sensing (SS) in Cognitive Radio. Therefore, in recent years, eigenvalue based spectrum sensing algorithms are under th...
Smart Grid Attacks and Countermeasures
The term “Smart Grid” has been coined and used for several years to describe the efforts of the current power grid modernization effort. This effort plans to introduce self-healing, energy efficiency, reliability, and se...
Applying algorithm finding shortest path in the multiple- weighted graphs to find maximal flow in extended linear multicomodity multicost network
The shortest path finding algorithm is used in many problems on graphs and networks. This article will introduce the algorithm to find the shortest path between two vertices on the extended graph. Next, the algorithm fin...
