HARMONISATION OF CIVIL PROCEDURE IN THE EUROPEAN UNION

Journal Title: Адміністративне право і процес - Year 2016, Vol 1, Issue

Abstract

The idea of the European Union (EU) is based on a presumption that this organization is in favour of persons situated in Europe. A human activity seems to be most- ly regulated by provisions included into a broad field of civil law (private law). Consequently, civil law relations between European citizens, individuals, undertakings or companies cannot be excluded from the EU purposes. The area of freedom, security and justice in Europe contains a question of cooperation, especially judicial cooperation, in civil cases and civil proceedings. Nowadays, it seems that European civil procedure attracts increasing atten- tion. This paper aims to present several main legal instru- ments, being in force within this field in the EU.
