Journal Title: VADYBA - Year 2016, Vol 29, Issue 2

Abstract

Nowadays use of social media applications has become one of the most important factors in the daily life of both individuals and organisations. Due to the rapid diffusion of the Internet, organisations had to change their communication strategy and focus on exploiting the opportunities offered by different web 2.0 applications. The study is intended to present the process and tools how the organisations can effectively use the different social media applications in order to pass their important messages building the costumers’ health awareness. Through the use of developed knowledge based decision support tools health organisations also contribute to consumer behaviour change in health awareness as a factor of sustainability.
