Journal Title: Bilgi Yönetimi - Year 2018, Vol 1, Issue 2
Abstract
Information systems change their working methods and conditions and are located in all areas of life as applications that allow time and space obstacle to be overcome. Information management systems are applications that involve the creation, processing, shaping, analyzing and understanding, use and sharing of these data, information and documents. Knowledge management systems are more in need of interdisciplinary integrative approaches in terms of the components they contain. The large amount of data, information and documents produced and received in institutions must be transformed into an available knowledge for institutions. It is not enough to store and remove data and information, it requires analyzing the data, giving meaning to the first decision-maker and making the decision quickly. Analysis and interpretation are the main functions of information systems. This is even more important when it comes to health. In this context, health information systems should be designed and managed as platforms that help physicians quickly identify important information in the patient's medical records, find relevant evidence, and discover treatment options. For this, advanced cognitive algorithms should be used in health information systems, and health information systems should be made as one of the physicians' assistants in the decision making and diagnosis of health information systems. Understanding, analyzing and making new inferences from the huge information accumulated in information systems puts artificial intelligence to the forefront.
