Health System in the Context of Niklas Luhmann’s Social Systems Theory and Trust Discussions

Abstract
One of the major debates on modernism is the settlement of risks and choices in everyday life. Choices, shape and modernity gives new meaning to health. One of the most important parameter appears on the agenda while these selections are built is certainly trust . In this study, primarily conceptualizations in the literature of sociology of trust are discussed. Niklas Luhmann’s autopoietic system conceptualization which is under recognized in Turkey is discussed with a system approach to health and trust as a concept in system approach. Although Niklas Luhmann didn’t place health in the context of system theory, this study shows how health can be discussed as an autopoietic system and how can system theory and trust are correlated.
