HECATOMNIDS FROM MYLASA TO HALICARNASSUS

Abstract

Carian region has one of the seven woders of the world, so it always maintains its importance. Actually, this is not the only reason which keeps its importance. The cultures, their worships, dailylifes, art and arcitecture due to too many settlements must be emphasized. Particularly, Mylasa and Halicarnassus environs confirms the previous statement. They are at the peak of ancient ages in times of Hecatomnids. Mausoleum, the thombs of Hecatomnus, and Gümüskesen are the masterworks of well known architectures of that time.
