HEPATITIS B VACCINE RESPONSE AMONG HEALTH WORKER KHAMIS MUSHAIT GENERAL HOSPITAL, SAUDI ARABIA, 2019

Abstract

Introduction: The health care provider is face every days challenging of getting infection with may disease one of the important vaccine preventable disease is the hepatitis B vaccine the employer clinic in the Khamis Mushait general hospital start the mandatory vaccine regime in 2017 but the impact and immune response need scientific investigation. Method: A observation study from employment clinic file in hospital Aims of this study were to assess the long-term persistence of antibodies to the hepatitis B surface antigen (anti-HBs) after immunization of health care worker Univariate analyses were conducted to determine factors associated with pre- and post-booster anti-HBs levels. The total sample number is 60 all of them complete the vaccination and take the pre and post-lab test the mean age of the population in sample is 34.4 with 45% female and 55% male the table shows the job distribution of health care provider in table 2. the duration between first and last dose in table 3. the distribution of past medical history in table 4. the BMI of the people in study in table 5. the non response rate is 3.3%. the bivariant analysis shows no association between gender and job with the HBsAg result table 6,7. there is an association between past medical history and the HBsAg result table 8.
