HEVEN'S theory of motivation

Abstract
For economists, it is important to identify the factors that lead a person to take and implement decisions. Therefore a great number of theories of motivation are used in economic theory and management. In this article, the author developed a five-factor theory of motivation or HEVEN the theory of motivation that indicates the key elements of motivation and improves the efficiency of achieving the objectives of the enterprise. Motivation is influenced by the following aspects: the experience (history), emotions (emotions), values (values), expectations (expectations) and needs (needs). The essence of the theory is reduced to the formation and reinforcement of positive real management experience (emotions, needs and values) and defining acceptable future. All the factors influence each other and all together produce a situation when employees make decisions. Thus, one of the selected items of HEVEN-theory of motivation can carry a crucial role, depending on factors of internal and external environment, or their unique combination of items in each moment of time. Consequently, employee’s behavior and motivation are determined by a combination of several elements, among which the dominant are: experience, emotions, values, needs and expectations. The strength and intensity of the impact of each element will vary depending on the specific situation. However, the supervisor, with the purpose of influencing on the contractor in order to achieve goals or perform tasks successfully, the entire range of items should be used.
