High-Resolution Endoscopy and NBI in Diagnosis of Lesions of the Upper Gastrointestinal Tract Mucosa

Abstract

The article shows the possibilities of modern endoscopy to obtain high-quality images of the upper gastrointestinal tract mucosa using a high-resolution technologies, magnification and narrow band imaging, which significantly improves the visualization of capillaries and other structures of the mucosal surface. Endoscopy with magnification, chromoscopy and narrow band imaging significantly improves the quality of examination, reduces the time of investigation and number of biopsies.
