Histological study of somatic embryogenesis in Agave fourcroydes Lem
Journal Title: Biotecnología Vegetal - Year 2002, Vol 2, Issue 1
Abstract
A histological study of the structures embryogenic formed from meristem of Agave fourcroydes, with the objective of observing the behavior of the somatic embryogenesis from the induction until the formation of the embryo was carried out. The meristem cultivated in vitro was subculture in modified MS medium the induction. The samples to be included in the resin JB4 were taken periodically. The histologicals cuts of 5-10 µm were carried out with rotatory microtome and strained in 2% toluidine blue. The sections were observed and photographed in light microscopy Axioplan Zeiis with increases of 20X. The results show to the 60 days of culture the presence of cells meristematic pre-embrygenic. Embryos in different phases of formation globular and scutellum were observed in all the mass of the callus in the following subculture.

Callus formation of Persea americana Mill. Catalina cultivar starting from in vitro plant leaf segments
ABSTRACT The importance of establishing protocols for the regeneration of fruit-trees through out the organogenesis and the somatic embryogenesis is based on the possibility to use them in the propagation of the specie...
Lethal minimal dose of the herbicide BASTA R an in vitro plants of the papaya hybrid IBP 42-99
All the transformation systems developed up to the moment need to select those plants that contain the transgene introduced and eliminate the rest. One way is to use as scoreboard a resistance gene to an herbicide. The...

Use of stem sections from in vitro papaya plants (hybrid IBP 42-99) to obtain callus with embryogenic structures
Inside in vitro propagation via, the somatic embriogenesis offers possibilities of obtaining top volumes of production in a minor period of time and a lower cost, which are a method potentially more efficient than the re...
Influence of growth regulators and inhibitors on the multiplication of axillary shoots of the hybrid cultivar 'FHIA-21' (AAAB) in Temporary Immersion System
This work was carried out at the Plant Biotechnology Laboratory from the Instituto de Investigaciones en Viandas Tropicales (INIVIT) in order to determine the culture medium for the multiplication of hybrid ‘FHIA–21’ (A...
