HISTORICAL FACULTY AT THE TURN OF THE CENTURY (TO 100 YEARS FROM THE DAY OF FOUNDATION)

Abstract
In the article highlights the major milestones of the history of the historical faculty of Poltava V.G. Korolenko National (State) Pedagogical University (Institute).Established forms of scientific work such as participation in All-Ukrainian Olympiads and contests-protections of student’s scientific works on history, geography, jurisprudence, philosophy and religious studies, as well as conducting traditional student conferences are revealed. The means of aesthetic education of students are as follows: their participation in collectives of amateur performances: university – folk choir “Kalina”, faculty – song-folklore group “Chebrecz`”, song-folklore group “Cheremshina”, vocal ensemble “Thousand years of music”, historical the drama theater “Fabula”, teams of KVN and intellectual game Brain-ring.The process of formation of student self-government, which was and remains a part of the life of the faculty, was analyzed. Established that in the late XX – early XXI century, the historical became one of the leading university staff in its teaching staff, innovative forms of education and educational process
