HISTORY OF NETWORK TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER IN EU

Abstract

Problem setting. The process of technology transfer is complex and multifaceted, every detail is important and each element plays an important role. European community for several decades, is moving in the direction of help and support small and medium enterprises. That is why the European Commission initiated the establishment of several networks of technology transfer. Analysis of resent researches and publications. Creation and functioning networks of technology transfer in the EU considered in the works of such scientists as Luksha O., Kozachenko V. Y., Haustvo V. K., Glory S. S., Lysenko V. S., Egorov O. S. However in science has not been researched comprehensive approach to the history of the networks of technology transfer in the EU. Target of research. The article is to research the history of the networks and technology transfer in the EU. The main article body. The first in the modern sense network of technology transfer was European Network of Business Innovation Centres – EBN, which is created in the early 1980s on the initiative and financing of the European Commission and European industry leaders and the first Business and Innovation Centres. Nowadays EBN acts as a nonprofit association, receiving funds from the EU only participate in specialized projects the contest on the general grounds. Besides the main sources of funding for the network is to provide partners, membership fees from network participants and sponsorship. Regarding membership in EBN, it is necessary to note the presence of several member status, including: honorary membership, full membership, associated members and members of the exchange. Conclusions and prospects for the development. Analyzing carried out research should be noted that over the past decades, the EU tried to create an organization network, which carried supporting SMEs and helping in the process of technology transfer. Any attempt to create a network was due to the challenges that arose before the EU and attempt to solve them.
