Hop in Ukraine: problems and perspectives

Abstract
The results of the research on the situation of the hop production industry in Ukraine from the point of view of the world tendencies in the industry and the hop market in general, the reasons that have led to the situation and had affected the situation in the branch as well as grounding the ways of its further development, increasing its efficiency and competitiveness have been presented in the paper. Special attention has been paid to material and technical base of the branch, modern tendencies in brewery processes that influence the formation of the type of the demand structure for this raw material, the efficiency of state support for the industry, i.e. increasing its mechanization level, increasing the production of hop pellets and hop extracts, renewal and expansion of hop production plantations, development of domestic selection studies and standardization in the hop industry
