HORIZONTAL LEARNING AS ORGANIZATIONAL AND PEDAGOGICAL INNOVATION IN THE PROCESS OF PROFESSIONAL TRAINING OF BORDER GUARDS IN THE REPUBLIC OF INDIA

Abstract
Abstract. The article defines the notion of "horizontal learning" and describes its forms and models. Thus, horizontal learning is bilateral mutual learning, transparent and planned process of students being peer instructors to each other. Horizontal learning in the process of professional training of border guards (by the example of the Republic of India) is the process of learning of students from each other in formal and informal mode. The forms of horizontal learning in the process of professional training of border guards in the Republic of India are the following: discussions, teamwork, consultations, analysis of tasks executions, mentorship, guiding, etc. On the basis of scientific literature the author has explained the peculiarities of implementation of horizontal learning in the process of professional training of border guards in the Republic of India. Besides, the main attention is drawn towards the advantages of usage of horizontal learning as organizational and pedagogical innovation in the process of professional training of border guards in the Republic of India. They are the following: creation of informal friendly atmosphere while learning; mutual two-way learning; formation of skills of decision making, creative and critical thinking, interpersonal skills, self-analysis, ability to control emotions and manage stress; sharing experience and creating the layer of common experience in study group, formation of cross-cultural skills, tolerance and elimination of caste stereotypes, possibility to use of technologies and as a result to simplify and fasten processes of knowledge transmitting.
