HSE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM AT HIGH ELEVATION IN SHIPBUILDING PROJECT
Journal Title: INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL OF ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGIES AND MANAGEMENT RESEARCH - Year 2018, Vol 5, Issue 11
Abstract
The Shipyard industry is one of the growing industry in Malaysia. There is still a lot of room for improvement with regards to the safety aspects within the industry. This study presents the finding of a survey on the safety management in shipyard operation of class C and D in Peninsular Malaysia as registered with Ministry of Finance Malaysia. Shipyard operation is considered a hazardous job. Most of the cases were due to fall from height, fire and explosion. The accidents were due to crane collapsed and explosion during welding works inside a hull of a Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) carrier. The research aims to study the Health, Safety and Environment Management System (HSEMS) of shipyard operations in Malaysia particularly in Class C and Class D. This study was conducted using a survey method following the Glenn D’s equation. The findings of this study shown that almost all the shipyards had HSEMS in placed but some were incomplete. Accidents still happen in the Malaysian shipyard industry from time to time. Nearly 10% of shipyards did not have clear HSE Policy due to low priority given to HSE matters.
GROWTH AND MINRAL STATUS OF COTTON PLANTS AS AFFECTED BY ABSICISIC ACID AND SALT STRESS
Application of antioxidant materials like absicisic acid to alleviate salinity stress and promote cotton growth is high effectiveness target, whereas cotton plant is an attractive industrial crop. Pot experiment was cond...
EXPERIMENTAL STUDY AND ANALYSIS OF POWER QUALITY MEASUREMENT OF PHOTOVOLTAIC CELLS WITH VARIOUS PARAMETERS
The Solar panels are on a mount that follows the sun. These are optimizing output by following the sun across the sky for maximum sunlight. These typically give you about a 15% increase in winter and up to a 35% increase...
A RESEARCH ON RISK CONTAGION OF CHINESE INTERBANK MARKET
The paper investigates contagion risk of interbank market via matrix method with a complete network structure. We make a study of contagion risk and the proportion of failed bank assets by exploiting the two conditions o...
AN ACOUSTIC ANTIFOULING STUDY IN SEA ENVIRONMENT FOR SHIP HULLS USING ULTRASONIC GUIDED WAVES
Biofouling results in a range of adverse issues for ships and boats such as an increase in hydrodynamic drag force and fuel consumption and increased maintenance cost. To address this issue, toxic antifouling coatings ha...
DESIGN AND SIMULATION OF DIELECTRIC RESONATOR ANTENNA (DRA) WITH CO-AXIAL PROBE FOR WIRELESS APPLICATION
In this paper a Dielectric resonator antenna (DRA) consists of a rectangular geometry and a printed rectangular patch on top of it in order to achieve better performance and operation without significant increase in ante...
