Human Capital in Western Pomerania: Methods and Selected Ratios

Abstract
The aim of the article is to present the essence of human assets, selected indicators, and methods of human capital in the West Pomeranian Province during 2000-2009. The article is characterized by selected indicators of human asset in the areas of knowledge and skills. On the basis of published literature, it assumes that human asset refers to education. The highest levels of human assets were characterized by: the District of the city of Szczecin and the district of the city Koszalin. While the lowest districts were the Lobeski, Koszalinski and Policki districts. The study was based on an analysis of the literature object, recycled materials, and an analysis of documents. The data describing ratios was derived from the National Census (2002) and the Regional Data Bank (RDB).
