Humanitarian co-operation between the Republic of Azerbaijan and European countries: mutual interests and results

Abstract
One of the main aspects of international humanitarian cooperation of Azerbaijan Republic has been investigated in the article. Author exploring Azerbaijan – European humanitarian relations could sufficiently substantiate its importance. Scientific – political views of the presidents of AR Heydar Aliyev and Ilham Aliyev and heads of governments of European states has been pulled out. The author defined the group of states of “the old continent” having close humanitarian relations with our country and conducted the research in this direction. Here she substantiated importance and superiority given by AR to humanitarian cooperation with France, the Vatican, Italy and others. AR’s humanitarian cooperation issues with several European states have been investigated using the comparative analysis method. And this time different targets and various results, perspectives has been viewed by making generalizations. One of the positive features of article is giving special attention to the multiculturalism and tolerance among the Azerbaijan’s humanitarian cooperation potential. Appreciating our republic’s experience in this area in international world and declaring 2016 year in our country as “A year of multiculturalism” gives basis that author approached creatively to issues. The article also attracts attention with drawing rich historical – actual material to scientific turnover. Classification, systematization and generalizations made in the work can also be considered useful. Author’s thesis positions about the perspectives of cooperation are also estimable.
