ЯЗЫК И НАЦИОНАЛЬНАЯ ИДЕНТИЧНОСТЬ (НА ПРИМЕРЕ НАЦИОНАЛЬНОЙ ИДЕНТИЧНОСТИ ПОЛЯКОВ ИЗ АЗЕРБАЙДЖАНА)

Abstract
W artykule autor skupia swoją uwagę na jednym z elementów kultury narodowej, który w istotny sposób wpływa na formowanie tożsamości narodowej jednostki – na języku, na przykładzie identyfikacji z językiem Polaków z Azerbejdżanu. Autor podkreśla, że pomimo że podstawową funkcją języka jest funkcja komunikatywna, posiada on też funkcję, która może jednoczyć (konsolidować) i różnicować pewne grupy osób. Dalej autor pisze o miejscu, jakie zajmuje język w strukturze tożsamości narodowej Polaków z Azerbejdżanu, zwracając uwagę na to, jakie instytucje i środki kulturalizacji wpływają na kształtowanie wiedzy i identyfikację osób należących do polskiej mniejszości narodowej z tym elementem kultury.
