Identification and distribution of vampire bats from Peru

Abstract

A dichotomous key is presented to differentiate the main groups of Peruvian bats, including the three species of vampire bats: [i]Desmodus rotundus,[/i] [i]Diphylla ecaudata[/i] and [i]Diaemus youngi.[/i] This information is complemented with an update of the distribution of vampire bats by political departments and ecorregions of Peru.
