Identification of the impact of changes in foreign exchange rates on the financial performance of the banking sector in Poland in 2010-2016

Abstract
The aim of the article is to evaluate changes in the financial performance of the banking sector resulting from changes in exchange rates, and to determine the strength and direction of the impact of these changes on the banking sector’s performance. According to the hypothesis put forward in the study, changes in exchange rates affected the banking sector’s financial performance and had a greater impact, assuming that the change in the financial performance was delayed by one month. The research hypothesis was verified using interdependence analysis together with a correlation model and linear regression.
