Illegal trafficking of tobacco products across the customs border: trends in the context of the criminalization prospects

Abstract
The article analyzes the trends that define connection of illegal movement of tobacco products across the border to the cross-border crime, the consequences of such connections, also the ways of fighting this phenomenon in the context of harmonization policy of Ukraine and the EU in the relevant field have been formulated. Special attention is paid to the criminalization of smuggling of excisable goods.
