Image Watermarking And Its Techniques: A Review
Journal Title: International Journal of Research in Computer and Communication Technology - Year 2015, Vol 4, Issue 6
Abstract
With the fast development in computer network and multimedia technology, the need of protecting the ownership of digital media becomes a major issue. Digital watermarking is a process of hiding imperceptible data into digital media like text, audio, video etc. The major aspects of information hiding are security, imperceptibility and robustness. To increase security, a secret key can be used to encode and decode the watermark. In this paper, we present a review on image watermarking and its techniques. There are several techniques that are based on spatial and transform domain. We also discuss various properties and applications of image watermarking. Previous work in digital watermarking is also reviewed.
