Imaginea Agenției Naționale de Integritate în Rapoartele Mecanismului de Cooperare și Verificare din perioada 2007-2015
Journal Title: Sfera Politicii - Year 2017, Vol 25, Issue 3
Abstract
This article will pursue the image of the National Agency of Integrity as outlined in the Mechanism for Cooperation and Verification reports from 2007 to 2015, through which we can identify the perception of the European Union about ANI and about the activity of this institution in Romania. I will follow the series of criticisms, assessments and recommendations that the European Commission brings to the Agency. It is also important to look at the need of the Union to justify the existence and the relevance of ANI, based on one of the objectives of the MCV. The activity of the Agency is closely monitorized by the European Union, in order to strengthen its position, increase the number of solved cases and the success in the anti-corruption fight. The role of the MCV reports is to identify the threats to which ANI is exposed and to provide recommendations to deal with them.
