Immunohistochemical analysis of adenocarcinoma of the small intestine: a tissue microarray study
Journal Title: Clinical Molecular Pathology - Year 2003, Vol 56, Issue 12
Abstract
Areas of invasive adenocarcinoma were identified on corresponding haematoxylin and eosin stained slides. Core biopsies of 0.6 mm in diameter were taken from each donor block and arrayed into a recipient paraffin block (35 mm × 22 mm × 5 mm) using a tissue microarrayer (Beecher Instruments, Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, USA), as described by Kononen et al.20 There were three cores for each tumour in the array, resulting in three histological spots on the corresponding slides. The positive control was normal small intestinal mucosa, which was represented in the array by five cores.
