IMPACT DU CHANGEMENT CLIMATIQUE SUR LA RESSOURCE EN EAU AU MAROC ; CAS DU BASSIN D’ESSAOUIRA
Journal Title: Larhyss Journal - Year 2016, Vol 27, Issue 27
Abstract
Since the 50s, many changes are observed in the global climate namely; the warming of the atmosphere and ocean, decrease in the extent of snow and ice and rising sea levels. In addition to population pressure, the Maghreb countries suffer from drought which accentuates the phenomenon of desertification and soil erosion and salinity, leading to salinization and depletion of water resources. In Morocco, climate change causes: soil erosion as a result of desertification resulting in siltation of dams, accentuation the salinization of soils and water resources. The Essaouira Basin, object of this study, is located on the Atlantic coast of Morocco in the southeast of Essaouira city. This basin is characterized by a semi-arid climate with annual rainfall of around 300 mm / year and average temperatures of 20 ° C. Given the importance of the Essaouira aquifer in supplying drinking water to the city of Essaouira and neighboring communities, a study was done to quantitatively and qualitatively assess the impact of climate change on water resources. The aquifers characterizing this area are the Cenomanian-Turonian in upstream and Plio-Quaternary in downstream separated by the diapir Tidzi. The piezometric maps were made (1990-2015). The study of the chemistry of water shows that they have type facies Na-Cl (1990-2009), Mg-Cl and Cl (2015). The salinity varies from 80- 3500 mg / L. The concentration of 18O; 2H; 3H and 14C were measured, a local meteoric right close to the global meteoric right characterizing oceanprecipitation was determined and the age of groundwater is determined. The Essaouira Basin is very vulnerable and sensitive to climate change because its home is entirely dependent on rainwater.

POUR UNE MEILLEURE GOUVERNANCE DE L’EAU POTABLE EN MILIEU RURAL TUNISIEN
Water is a vital resource, irreplaceable and indispensable for human survival and growth of the population. However, the risk of its shortage presents the greatest threat weighing on the world. That’s why the problem...
ETUDE DE L’ADSORPTION D’UNE MIXTURE DE COMPOSES BIORECALCITRANTS EN MILIEU AQUEUX
Adsorption is a promising technique due to the ease of use and low cost compared to other applications in the fading process, especially if the adsorbent is inexpensive and readily available. The dyes used in our study...
DEVELOPING A PROTECTION PLAN AGAINST THE RIVERINE FLOOD RISK IN URBAN AREA THE CASE OF SKIKDA (NORTH-EAST ALGERIA)
The hydrological hazard in the city of Skikda is particularly due to the combination of the physio-geographic characteristics of the basin, and the effect of the climatic circumstances, but the vulnerability to the flo...
COUP DE BELIER DANS UN RESEAU RAMIFIE ENTERRE EN REFOULEMENT
The bibliographical summary shows that the water hammer generated in a loaded pipe was often studied, supposing that this latter is free (not buried). The external pressure practised by the ground was not taken into co...
QUALITE BIOLOGIQUE DU RESEAU HYDROGRAPHIQUE DU BASSIN VERSANT DE LA SOUMMAM (NORD DE L’ALGERIE)
The objectif of this study is to draw a map of quality or health of the river system watershed of Soummam by using standard global biological index (IBGN) of AFNOR (1992) and identify the most degraded sections of the...
