IMPACTS OF ENTERPRISE RESOURCE PLANNING APPLICATIONS ON COMPETITIVENESS AND PERFORMANCE IN ENTERPRISES: A CASE STUDY

Abstract

The purpose of this study, enterprise resource planning applications to streamline their business processes, user errors due to prevention, communication between units makes enough and facilitation, reducing costs incurred in business processes and enterprise resource information is to examine the impact on businesses operating in the variable depending on use. For this purpose, considering the hypothesis of the study theoretical discussions and research findings in the literature are determined. Research hypotheses, private enterprises operating in Kocaeli, Enterprise Resource Planning uses made of 101 employees, it has been tested using data obtained from a survey. Descriptive statistical methods to analyze the data, factor, correlation and regression analysis were used. Analysis results showed that the positive effect on business processes facilitate the implementation of Enterprise Resource Planning. Additionally, the user-dependent error prevention, bringing solutions to problems encountered in business processes, employees of the company positively on reducing variable costs in business processes have been identified as the effects. However, contrary to expectations Enterprise Resource Planning, employee self-development is to meet the expectations of people dependent features eliminate the unit's communication makes enough and facilitation between the prevention of avoiding the excess of business process cost causing delay in project implementation variables are determined on whether the effects in a positive way. Proposals have been made for practitioners and researchers at the end of the study.
