Implementation of a Novel Pwm Dc-Dc Converter
Journal Title: IOSR Journals (IOSR Journal of Electrical and Electronics Engineering) - Year 2018, Vol 13, Issue 3
Abstract
This paper presents the implementation of a soft-switching boost dc-dc converter. Passive softswitching is employed due to its advantages over the active soft-switching and its ability to reduce switching losses. A Laplace transform-based analysis of the converter circuit was carried out to obtain design information which was already published. A complete circuit of the soft switching PWM dc-dc converter prototype is also presented here. Experimental results obtained from the prototype agree closely with the predicted results and this demonstrates the feasibility of the system.

Design of power system stabilizer for damping power system oscillations
The problem of the poorly damped low-frequency (electro-mechanical) oscillations of power systems has been a matter of concern to power engineers for a long time, because they limit power transfers in transmission lines...
Analysis of Silicon Clad Optical Waveguide for High Extinction Ratio TE/TM Pass Polarizers using Resonant Coupling between Guided Modes and Lossy Modes
Attenuation characteristics of a planar silicon-clad ion exchange glass waveguide structure are investigated theoretically at the optical wavelength of 0.6328 µm. An oscillatory behaviour of the attenuation curves is not...

Operation Strategy of Electric Motors for Water Pumping On Malang City Regional Water Supply Company (Pdam Kota Malang) For Electrical Energy Efficiency Improvement
PDAM Kota Malang (Malang City Regional Water Supply Company) has several pumping stations that operate the water pump motors 24/7 with no breakdown period, while others operate the motors in rolling breakdown timing. Bad...
Harmonic Minimization in 31-Level Cascaded Multilevel Inverter Topology with Reduced Number of Switches
Multilevel inverters are power electronic devices that changes over DC to AC quantity. But these devices produces non-sinusoidal signal which contains harmonics. So as to be overcome this problem a 31-level cascaded mult...
