Implementation of Fractional Order PID Controller for An AVR System Using GA Optimization Technique
Journal Title: International Journal for Research in Applied Science and Engineering Technology (IJRASET) - Year 2017, Vol 5, Issue 5
Abstract
In recent years, the research and studies on fractional order (FO) modelling of dynamic systems and controllers are quite advancing. To improve the stability and dynamic response of automatic voltage regulation (AVR) system, we presented fractional Order PID (FOPID) controller by employing Genetic Algorithm (GA) technique. We used fractional order tool kit a masked fractional order PID block in MATLAB programming to implement the Pࡰ⋋ࡵஜ controller for any type of system. Comparisons are made with a PID controller from standpoints of transient response. It is shown that the proposed FOPID controller can improve the performance of the AVR in all the aspects.

Comparative Study of BIS and ACI Method of Concrete Mix Design using Alccofine as a Partial Replacement of Cement
This paper presents a comparison of BIS, and ACI methods of concrete mix design, combining the test results of these methods. The M40 and M50 grades of concrete have been designed for comparison using alccofine. In thi...
Android Based LAN Monitoring System
The increasing demands and use of computers in universities and research labs generated the need to provide high speed interconnections between computer systems. This paper represents how a computer or multiple computer...
Remote Data Acquisition System for Combat Vehicle
Combat vehicles have their circuits integrated. The system shuts down when there is a problem in any of the circuits. Hence it is proposed to have a display for each of the data recorded so that the particular circuit’s...
A Literature Survey on Data Mining Techniques to Predict Lifestyle Diseases
Data Mining is the process of extraction hidden patterns from previously unknown and imaginably useful information from huge amount of data. The diagnosis of Disease is one of the major application where data mining too...
