Implementation of Human Cognitive Bias on Naïve Bayes
Journal Title: EAI Endorsed Transactions on Creative Technologies - Year 2016, Vol 3, Issue 7
Abstract
We propose a human-cognition inspired classification model based on Naïve Bayes. Our previous study showed that human-cognitively inspired heuristics is able to enhance the prediction accuracy of text classifier based on Naïve Bayes. In the study, our classification model showed higher performance than conventional Naïve Bayes under specific conditions. In this paper, to investigate the mechanism that realizes the higher performance of classification, we further tested our model and its modified variant. As a result, our two models showed slightly different behaviors, but both of them achieved higher performance than conventional Naïve Bayes.

Towards a new software quality model for evaluation the quality of gamified systems
Due to the emergence of the Gamification concept in various domains, this article studies how to improve the quality of gamified systems with the software engineering discipline. Recent studies have shown a significant g...
Moving Collaborations: A Critical Inquiry Into Designing Creative Interactive Systems for Choreography
The use of technology in choreographic process has been encumbered by the richness of data in live human movement and the constraints of computation. While technology is often considered a tool in choreographic process,...
Templates as heuristics for proving properties of medical devices
This paper briefly describes how property templates have been used to analyse and explore the interactive behaviour of a specific medical device (an IV infusion pump). It is proposed that interactive devices that satisfy...
Learnings from an Iterative Design Process for Technology-Mediated Audience Participation (TMAP) using Smartphones
We discuss a setup for technology-mediated audience participation (TMAP)in live music using smartphones and high-frequency sound IDs in a playful setting. The audience needs to install a smartphone app. Using high-freque...
