Implementation of Node to Node Communication System on ARM 7 using CAN Bus

Abstract

This project aims in designing a system which helps in monitoring and controlling multisingle chip communication system using CAN (Controller Area Network) protocol using LPC 2129 ARM. This system helps to achieve communication between transmitter and receiver modules. A CAN-BUS communication module for embedded System has been proposed, collectively with its hardware and software design. The motivation to design such CAN module is an attempt to ease the development of CAN-BUS based embedded applications. The CAN module provides simple hardware interface and highly abstracted software communication protocol, due to the notion and integration of all CAN related communication functions in an embedded systems. With the help of the software package, the CANBUS communication would be apparent to the nodes of the controllers in the system. Controller Area Network (CAN) protocol offers low cost solution for communication between these embedded systems
