Abstract
The process of implementation of social and medical ideas in the medical practice of official medicine in the territory of Sloboda Ukraine in the 19th – early 20th century is examined in the article. The sanitation condition, the incidence rate of the population, formation and development of medical institutions of the region are analyzed too.
