IMPLEMENTATION OF THE GENERALIZED VISCOELASTIC HUET-SAYEGH AND BURGERS MODEL TO DETERMINE THE STIFFNESS MODULUS OF ASPHALT CONCRETE
Journal Title: Structure and Environment - Year 2016, Vol 0, Issue 4
Abstract
The aim of this paper is to compare the possibility of application of two physical models, namely generalized Huet- Sayegh and Burgers model to describe the changes in stiffness modulus of asphalt concrete. Both models make sense only in range of the linear viscoelasticity. The modern design of the pavement structure increasingly forced to use more sophisticated techniques for modeling the properties of the bituminous mixtures. The study was found that the application of popular Burgers model is not capable to properly predict the properties of the asphalt concrete at high frequency load/low temperature and at high temperature/low frequency in comparison with the generalized Huet-Sayegh model.

EFFECTS OF SINGLE-LAYER TRUSS DOME GEOMETRY ON CRITICAL LOAD CAPACITY
The purpose of this article is to estimate the effect of geometric imperfections on critical loads. Special attention was paid to trusses subjected to large displacement gradients and vulnerable to stability loss due to...
THE INFUENCE OF BOUNDARY CONDITIONS ON THE SAFETY OF STEEL TRUSSES SUBJETED TO HIGH TEMPERATURES
The study provides an analysis of three trusses that differed only with respect to support. All trusses were analyzed for normal and accidental design cases, latter under fire load. A standard fire curve was adopted, and...
