IMPROVED BUNKER RELIABILITY ON WATER-TRANSPORT AS FACTOR OF PROVIDING ECOLOGICAL SAFETY

Abstract

Purpose. The purpose of the article is the research of reliability of the process of bunkering of ships. The reliability is a property of a technical object to maintain the values of all parameters that characterize the ability to perform the required functions in specified modes and conditions of application, maintenance, storage and transportation. When investigating the reliability of bunkering processes on water transport, one of the important factors is the provision of environmental safety. In order to analyze the reliability of bunkering processes on water transport, the main factors for ensuring the reliability of bunkering are determined. Methodology. We have chosen a statistically-mathematical method for obtaining parameters of the reliability function. This method consists of ranking of reliability factors. Results. Determination of environmental conditions influencing the reliability of bunkering and structuring of factors allowed to formalize the function of reliability, to determine the importance of factors and their interactions in the processes of ensuring the reliability of bunkering for environmental protection. Originality. For the first time it has been proposed the research of the factors ensuring the reliability of bunkering to conduct the following parameters: technical and technological, commercial (Commercial), security (Safety), environmental (Environmental) and conduct TСSE-analysis of the described conditions.. Practical value. The obtained results are the importance of the environmental safety factor of the ship is determined, taking into account: the use of low-sulfur fuel, the introduction of SCR-technologies; introduction of EGR technologies; use of gas fuel. Conclusions. Determination of environmental conditions influencing the reliability of bunkering and structuring of factors allowed to formalize the function of reliability, to determine the importance of factors and their interactions in the processes of ensuring the reliability of bunkering for environmental protection. Improving the reliability of bunkers requires the use of marine fuels in accordance with the environmental requirements of the International Maritime Organization (IMO), the introduction of technical means to ensure environmental requirements for emissions. When carrying out bunkering operations it is necessary to carry out measures aimed at preventing fuel spills to preserve ecology of the environment.
